Subject
The Petra sculpture is based on the architecture of the Nabateans of Jordon. Petra was a major trade route, and as such absorbed the cultures of the surrounding countries, notably Egypt, Rome and Greece.

Object
The sculpture recreated the impact of the temple / tomb built into the rock, and at the same time makes the interior visible.
